CHECK THESE FIRST:

1. FAULTY RESIDUAL PRESSURE CHECK VALVE OR PISTON SEALS IN MASTER CYLINDER; CONFIRMED IF MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR FLUID LEVEL REMAINS CONSTANT
Have pressure check valve or piston seals professionally repaired or replaced.

2. EXTERNAL LEAK IN BRAKE HOSE, LINE OR FITTING; CONFIRMED IF MASTER CYLINDER RESERVOIR FLUID LEVEL DECREASES
Have brake hose, line or fitting professionally replaced.

3. AIR IN HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OR IMPROPER BRAKE FLUID (LOW BOILING POINT); VAPOR LOCK
Have brake fluid professionally bled and replaced. Be certain to use correct DOT-rated fluid to prevent boiling.

4. FAULTY SELF-ADJUSTER OR MALADJUSTED DRUM BRAKE SHOE
Have brake shoe professionally adjusted or self-adjuster serviced.

5. LOW BRAKE FLUID LEVEL
Add brake fluid.

Have master cylinder or caliper bore professionally repaired.

Have correct brake linings professionally installed.
